Stunning Miniature Paper Architecture  by Charles Young

In his spare time, Edinburgh-based Charles Young creates these miniature paper scenes that move. With a Bachelors and a Masters in Architecture from Edinburgh College of Art, he studied the way buildings are constructed for six years. Though he’s been using different materials and techniques to form his miniature models, he always comes back to watercolor paper. “In my design projects I used model-making as a way of sketching and developing ideas,” he said. via: mymodernmet

Bruno Vergauwen is a Belgian visual artist. He studied in Antwerp for his Masters Degree in Graphic design and illustration. Being born into a family with creative minds alike, he had the freedom to developed his art from a very young age. After being an Art Director in Advertising for over ten years he decided to dedicate himself more to his personal non-commercial artwork and illustration.

Bruno likes the way every person looks at his work differently and enjoys the challenge of an assignment. He continues working at an Advertising Agency but his real passion lies with creating images and the different worlds that come with it.

Illustrator Re-Imagines The Simpsons’ Springfield As A Gloomy Desolated Town

Tim Doyle, an Austin, Texas-based illustrator and print-maker, expresses his love for comic books, video games, and television with beautiful works of art, like these chilling and gloomy images of The Simpsons’ Springfield that caught our eye. INTERSECTIONS | ANILA QUAYYUM AGHA

Winner of both the public and juried vote of Artprize 2014, Pakistani artist Anila Quayyum Agha exercises the architecture of the Grand Rapids Art Museum in Michigan by infilling it with a dynamic interplay of shadow and light. Intersections comprises a 6.5 foot laser-cut wooden cube pierced with carefully crafted patterns and illuminated from the inside, which casts expansive, lace-like geometries onto the surrounding walls, ceiling and floor.

Sara Blake wants to be remembered as an artist, which has been characterised  as one who follows a creative pursuit where skill comes by study or practice. Granted, Sara Blake’s illustrations quickly and clearly demonstrate the results of someone who has dedicated many hours studiously refining their craft and sharpening their skill-set to an acute, dextrous and able point. Sara Blake (also known under pseudonym ZSO) is an artist from Richmond, Virginia, now based in New York City. Sara’s personal illustration work displays elegant illustrations of people, animals, plants and insects. The use of color in Sara’s work is amazing: from very dark to bright, from colorful to sober: it’s all there.
